Metal melting technology has always been advancing.

Graphite crucible brought the revolution of the crucible production in the middle of 19th century. Nippon Crucible Co., Ltd. has started with the graphite crucible manufacturing and having the product line-up of refractory bricks, monolithic refractories and various products with the technology and know-how based on metal melting. Metal melting technology has been progressing with the evolution of refractory.

Energy saving vertically grooved crucible “ZEBRAX”

We have reached the higher technology to hold molten aluminum and keep its temperature. Indirect heat from the inside of the tube will secure stable metal quality.

We succeeded to develop special crucible “CANISTER” for the first time in Japan. This melts low-level radioactive waste from nuclear power stations.

High purity zirconia crucible “ZIRCONIX”.

Higher resistant to the cracking at higher melting temperature. 90% of the normal strength at room temperature can be exhibited even at 1,500 ℃.

We are pushing forward to the development of products to meet high standard requirements.Both cast iron and cast steel are made from pig iron after removing their impurities and those are used for foundry. Cast iron contains approximately 2% to 6% of carbon. And approximately 1% or less carbon will make high strength cast steel. Our refractory adapts itself to the higher needs of cast iron and cast steel foundry process and realize stable operation.

Incinerator and fusion furnace

Special refractory products line.

The incinerator converts poisonous ash from burnable waste process to non poisonous ash. The fusion furnace melts incombustibles made from the combustion of industrial raw material, waste and ash with very high temperature. We also provide various refractories for these applications.
